Submission Guidelines For Blogs

The CARCIL blog publishes the latest updates on developments relating to corporate and business laws. The categories of submissions are as follows:

  • Articles
  • Case Comments
  • Legislative Notes
  • Opinions/Columns

Note: The word limit of all the submissions shall ideally be between 1200-1800 words. Furthermore, the title of the submission shall not exceed 15 words.

 

Formatting and Style Guidelines

  • Font: Times New Roman, Size: 12, Line spacing: 1.5
  • Justify all text. Use sub-headings where required.
  • All sources must be hyperlinked (compulsorily) and if necessary then authors may use endnotes/.
  • Language should be formal, neutral, and precise. Avoid overuse of legalese.

Submission Policy

  • Submission shall be made via the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/tPSGNRKLZzfjbJv28 Kindly do not send submissions via email.
  • The review process generally takes around 2 weeks and in case of delays, the authors may seek updates through our official email address carcilsubmissions@gmail.com .
  • Submissions must be original and unpublished. Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.
  • Plagiarism above 10% will lead to rejection.
  • All submissions will undergo a blind peer-review by the Editorial Board.
  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to suggest edits or reject submissions without detailed feedback.
  • Once published, the piece cannot be republished elsewhere without express permission.

REVIEW PROCESS

The Editorial Board endeavours to review manuscripts expeditiously and communicate a preliminary decision within four weeks from the date of submission.

Authors are requested to refrain from enquiring about the status of their manuscript before the expiry of the aforementioned period.

Preliminary acceptance of a manuscript shall not be construed as final acceptance for publication. The final decision regarding publication shall remain subject to the successful incorporation of suggested revisions and the outcome of the peer review process.

 

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

  1. Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the designated Google Form. Submissions made through any other mode shall not be entertained.
  2. Each author shall be permitted to submit only one manuscript.
  3. The manuscript must be submitted in .doc or .docx format along with a duly signed Certificate of Originality and Copyright Declaration in the prescribed format. (Link for the Certificate- https://drive.google.com/drive/u/4/folders/1iYmPJK3xZrFQj3uxtfWM0SlP55-k-hDo)
  4. Upon successful submission, the author(s) shall receive an acknowledgement email along with a unique manuscript code. Authors are requested to quote the manuscript code in all future correspondence.

 

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

If the author(s) wish to withdraw their manuscript from consideration, they may send an email to carcil.editorial@gmail.com with the subject line:

“Withdrawal of Manuscript: [Manuscript Code]”

The decision regarding withdrawal shall rest solely with the Editorial Board.
