About CARCIL
Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL)
The Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL) was established under the aegis of Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna in 2019 with the objective of fostering high-quality research, policy discourse, and capacity building in the domains of corporate law, corporate governance, and insolvency laws. The Centre endeavours to bridge the gap between academic legal research and practical regulatory challenges by facilitating dialogue among scholars, policymakers, industry professionals, and regulatory bodies.
Vision
To be the principal academic and intellectual catalyst for research, reform, and capacity building in the field of corporate law, governance, and insolvency in India; and to emerge as a Centre of Excellence that supports the advancement of legal scholarship and institutional development.
Mission
We aim to promote effective corporate governance and responsible regulation while conducting research on the evolving relationship between society and corporate structures. By analyzing the roles of boards, shareholders, and regulators, we seek to offer meaningful insights. Our efforts focus on contributing to the reform of insolvency law in India. Ultimately, we strive to provide valuable recommendations for policymakers.
